2. REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Registration will open Tuesday, February 26th at 12 pm. Registration will close Wednesday, March 5th at 5 pm.

3. REGISTRATION FEES

TP Debate - $50 per Team
LD Debate - $35 per Debater
IE - $15 for the first speech event and $10 for each event after that.
Jr IE - $10 for the first speech event and $5 for each event after that.

Any registrations accepted after registration closes will be subject to a $25 late fee.

4. PAYMENTS

The SePA Tournament will be using Paypal to process tournament fees.

5. MEALS

There are several meal options you can choose from. Lunches and dinners may be ordered in advance. See Meal Information Page for meal descriptions and pricing. You may bring food and coolers, to be eaten in the cafeteria, or you can check at the information table for a list of nearby restaurants.

6. JUDGE REQUIREMENTS

We require, as part of the registration process for your child, that you register to judge for 3 rounds per day. You will be able to do this on the judge registration page of the website. You must still be available for other rounds if needed.

7. DRESS CODE

The Tournament Director will adjudicate disputes regarding dress using Section III of the NCFCA Qualifying Tournament Participating General Rules. Participants should view this document prior to attending the tournament. It can be found at http://www.ncfca.org.

Competitors should stay in complete tournament attire, while at the facility, for the duration of the tournament.

8. HOST HOUSING

We have a limited amount of host housing available that will be provided on a first come first served basis. Please be aware that most of the host homes will be about 30 minutes away from the facility. Contact Teri Heck at 610-670-2929 or terri4gw@comcast.net for more information.

9. JR IE TOURNAMENT

We are pleased to announce the return of our Junior Division competition to be held on Friday, March 28, 2008. Students ages 7 - 12 are eligible to compete. This year's speech events are Dramatic Interpretation, Persuasive and Impromptu. There will be two rounds of competition that day. No script submission is required for the Junior competition.

Each Dramatic Interpretive and Persuasive speech should be approximately five minutes in length. There will be one round of abstract words and one round of sayings for the Impromptu event. Impromptu will be timed in the same manner as the competitive track, with a two minute prep time. First, second and third place prizes will be awarded for each category.

Dress code will be as follows -
Boys: dress slacks and shoes with either a sweater or shirt and tie. No suit coats are necessary.
Girls: dress pants and shoes with a nice shirt/sweater, or a dress or skirt outfit. Dresses and skirts should fall below the knees.

12. SCRIPT SUBMISSIONS

Scripts must be submitted for all platform and interpretive speech categories. Please refer to script submission guidelines available at http://www.ncfca.org/speech. Any competitor who fails to comply with these guidelines will be unable to compete in that category at the SePA tournament.
